The “Workplace Education Institute” or (WEI) is the parent corporation of the Northeast and East Central Ohio Labor Management Councils. WEI is a 501-C3 Non-Profit organization with a governing Board of Trustees that reflects both state and regional viewpoints. WEI coordinates the direction and growth of the Northeast and East Central Ohio Labor Management Councils. WEI promotes Council development and NEOLM/ECOLM services while exploring alternative revenue sources in both regions. The “Workplace Education Institute” does not operate on funds from the Ohio State Labor/Management program allowing WEI to explore other funding sources. WEI’s goal of educating the workforce is unique and its perspective goes beyond the basic philosophy of labor management. WEI has sought out “Cooperative Organizations” to provide special services not available through ECOLM or NEOLM in an effort to meet an organizations total need. In this effort, WEI has both local and statewide organizations that have become “Cooperative Organizations”, working with selected WEI clients. These organizations are as follows:
